ADDICTION IS A CHRONIC,
Addiction is a chronic, treatable disease which means the most effective way to treat addiction is like other chronic conditions. Wellpath Community Care Centers combine medication, counseling and lifestyle modification to create positive patient outcomes.
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for opioid or other substances including alcohol, methamphetamine, Fentanyl, cocaine, hallucinogens, and tobacco.
Wellpath Community Care Centers provide effective evidence-based MAT programs for individuals who have harmful involvement with substances or mental health needs. Our goal is to improve every patient’s quality of life while promoting behavioral, physical, social, spiritual, intellectual, environmental and vocational wellness.
What is Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)?
Medication-Assisted Treatment is the use of FDA-approved medications, including Suboxone, Vivitrol, and in some locations, Methadone, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, to provide a “whole patient” approach to the treatment of substance use disorders. A common myth of MAT is that it’s only about the medicine, but it is truly about the combination: Medicine + Counseling = Treatment.
